The band Coldplay announced on October 10th (Monday) the new dates for their shows in Brazil. The shows would be held in the cities of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, but had to be postponed for health reasons. Vocalist Chris Martin developed a serious lung infection and received strict medical advice earlier this month.

As the Music Of The Spheres tour shows in Brazil were scheduled for mid-October, the band and their team had to postpone it due to Chris' health. An official statement was issued informing the postponement in Brazil and the return of the tour on October 25th in Argentina.

 Even though the shows were very close, the public's understanding was unanimous and everyone wished the star well and a good recovery.

After Coldplay's historic performance at Rock in Rio on September 10th, great expectations were generated for the tour shows that would take place the following month. With dates scheduled for October 11th and 12th in Rio de Janeiro and the six shows (October 15th, 16th, 18th, 19th, 21st and 22nd) in São Paulo, expectations were high.

After much waiting from those who bought the tickets and also from the band's fans, another official statement was issued informing the dates.

In Rio de Janeiro, the venue for the show continues to be the Nilton Santos Stadium (Engenhão). In São Paulo, due to the availability of space, it changed from Allianz Parque for the Morumbi's stadium.

Different from how it would be in the first schedule, the shows will take place first in São Paulo and then in Rio in 2023. Below are the dates:

Rio de Janeiro, Nilton Santos Engenhão Stadium

As announced by the event organizer, all tickets sold for the shows in São Paulo remain valid. However, guidance on seat location will be provided via the email registered when purchasing the ticket through Eventim. This happened due to the change of location of the event.

As for the shows that will take place in Rio de Janeiro, tickets purchased for the first dates of the performances will also remain valid for the new dates. Since the location remains the same, no major changes will need to be made.
