Today, I watched Inheritance: Top 1 Movie on Netflix and I'm going to talk about it here. First of all, it's worth letting you know that Netflix's Top 10 are the best and most watched films as well. Therefore, being in the Top 1 is already a sign that it is worth checking it out. And that's what I did!

One of the things that caught our attention is the film's protagonist actress. Inheritance stars Lily Collins, Netflix's favorite, our Emily. In Paris or anywhere in the world. For this reason, and this is no small feat, the film already attracts a lot of attention from subscribers within the platform. And I can tell you that she gave a great performance. Like always.

I have to confess that I don't usually watch films because of the synopsis, what really catches my attention is the title. But this time the synopsis caught my attention and I'll explain why. Here's the synopsis: “After her father's death, a woman inherits the keys to a secret bunker and makes a shocking discovery that could destroy her family's life.”

What caught my attention in this synopsis was the word “bunker”. The author who writes to you is a fan of post-apocalyptic films and cannot hear about bunkers. Judge me! For me, it was great because a large part of the plot unfolds inside the bunker and this brings greater suspense to everything in the film.

The film has no grand action scenes, nor scary scenes, but the narrative is very rich in details. She creates several possibilities inside your head about how the film will unfold, but you are unlikely to get it right. It's surprising!

The plot revolves around the story of a very rich family, the Monroe Family, made up of 4 members: the parents and a couple of children. And at the beginning of the film, you can already identify the traumatic issues involving the family. The relationship problems you have had in the past in parallel with your current life.

The two children are pursuing successful careers, the man as a politician and the woman (the protagonist: Lauren) as a prosecutor. The first is in the middle of an election campaign, while the second is in the middle of a major trial that receives nationwide attention.

However, everything starts to go wrong when their country, Archer, dies in a rather frightening way. (At this point, you won't understand his death and will create theories) Then, everyone is called to the family home to read the will left by Archer.

For Lauren, a minimal amount of money was left and a video of her father containing instructions is a key for her to enter the bunker. Inside, she will find her father's biggest secret and, now, her biggest one too. Which, from now on, will be hers too.

The film Inheritance was released in 2020, however, it has only now become an option on Netflix. Maybe, if I had watched it in 2020, I would have found Lily's performance to be very good. But I only watched it now, after following all of her seasons as Emily in Paris.

A good performance says a lot about the quality of an actress. However, seeing how she is able to bring such different characters to life greatly increases admiration for her work. Emily is a 220V girl who works in marketing, while Lauren is a totally focused prosecutor. Two opposites!

However, throughout the film, you become so involved in the film's plot that you won't make any associations. You'll forget that Lauren was once Emily in another series. You will find it almost impossible to believe. And this will bring much more value and recognition to the size of her performance in this film.

In short, Inheritance as the Top 1 Movie on Netflix is completely deserved. The plot is sensational and so are the performances, including the masterful one that takes place inside the bunker. I couldn't talk about that because it's part of the Monroe family secret. See for yourself why it’s so worth it!
