The wedding day is one of the most anticipated days in the lives of many women, that is, it needs to be the day of Perfect Bride Production. Everything she dreamed of is about to come true and therefore the bride's production needs to be well planned so that everything goes well and is the way she dreamed. Given the importance of this day, many brides are worried about how to prepare for it.
Many don't know exactly what they can or should do, aesthetically speaking, during their wedding week. That's why it's so important for you to hire a qualified professional to guide you. But today, I'm going to put here a Perfect Bride Production Manual created by Kethelyn Margato, makeup artist specializing in bridal care.
Step by step for the big day
First of all, let's talk about some of the main items that you will need to choose to create your bridal look for the big day. Remembering that each bride has her own taste, and some of these, they may or may not choose to use. My intention here is just to show you the options available to you. Let's go through your choices?
Dress
This is one of the biggest and most important choices you will need to make, as your dress will define your entire style and will occupy the majority of your visual beauty. There are options to rent the dress, buy it ready-made or have one made especially for you. Therefore, I recommend that this choice be made within 1 year to 6 months before the wedding.
Shoe
It is very important and I advise that you choose your shoes not only for their beauty, but also for their comfort as long as they match the dress; purchase them within 3 to 2 months before the wedding. Another important thing is to test them in advance and, if they are closed, wear them with socks in the days before the wedding to soften them. If you choose sandals, check whether your foot is firm or whether it slips forward; if it is hurting, in this case, it is better to invest in adhesive protector with strips or special insoles.
Wreath
The hairstyle style must be defined before choosing the Wreath, as some accessories are more restricted to the type of hairstyle. For example, don't rent a rigid bun stand if you can opt for a half-up hairstyle at the preview. First choose the structure of the hairstyle (bun, half-up, ponytail) and only then choose the crown 3 to 2 months in advance.
If you can't decide, no problem. Choose a flexible and versatile accessory that gives you more possibilities for use. On the day of the preview, it can be used in different ways, such as a headband, around a bun, or at the front or back of the head. Another popular and interesting option is a wreath made of natural flowers, which are custom-made for each hairstyle.
Veil
This also has to match the hairstyle and, above all, its height. Mantillas tend to harmonize best with low or medium hairstyles; High buns look great with more voluminous, multi-layered veils. It is ideal for the veil to be taken to the preview to test it. The color of the veil must be the same as the color of the dress, as the differences between white and Off White, for example, show a very large contrast in the photograph. If the dress is Off White, the veil must have the same tone, and the same applies to white.
Toys
It is extremely important that the earrings match the crown in terms of color (silver, gold or rose gold) and also in terms of stones or pearls. They do not have to be the same, but they need to complement each other so that they do not appear disconnected. As for the size, it depends on the bride's style and the hairstyle chosen. Choose your earrings 3 to 2 months before the wedding.
Botox/Filler
It is well known that many brides have the desire and end up having cosmetic procedures on their face for their wedding day. Therefore, I will explain these two types and when they should be done by brides so that they do not influence the day's production. As we said before, on the day of the Bride's production, everything has to be perfect.
O Botox It is a procedure that serves to reduce expression lines and must be done within a period of 40 to 30 days before the wedding. Already the Fill of hyaluronic acid serves to volumize and highlight. In some areas, it can also soften expression lines; it enlarges the mouth, reduces deep dark circles and brings a “top model look” effect to the cheekbones, among other effects. It must be done 2 months before the wedding.
Skin cleansing
It is best to cleanse your skin regularly to improve your skin texture and skincare absorption. The last skin cleansing for the day of the wedding must be done between 20 and 15 days before the wedding so that it does not influence the makeup.
Peeling
This is a type of procedure that requires more attention, as any abrasive skin treatment such as peelings or microneedling are very strong. They remove the first layer of the dermis, which will make it thinner and more sensitive, which is why it can only be done up to 45 days before the wedding.
Tips for your skin
– Drink lots of water.
– Consult a dermatologist.
– Use sunscreen every day.
– Apply moisturizer with a gel texture for oily/combination skin and a cream for dry skin. Maintain daily hydration with a specific cream for eyes, which have skin that is up to 7x thinner than the rest of the face. It is important to hydrate for a better makeup effect.
– Do a face mask once a week. Alternate between clay and masks specific to your skin type.
– Do not use skin care acids 5 days before the wedding.
– Do not use facial soap with acids in its composition the day before.
– Maintain a good diet.
– Remove makeup and sunscreen every day before bed using micellar water. – Use Vitamin C (antioxidant) every day.
Haircut
If you feel like it, cut it 30 to 20 days before the wedding for medium to long hair. If the hair is short and needs to maintain its shape, the cut can be done within a week. As for height, if you are going to wear a loose or semi-updo hairstyle, trimming the ends a little works really well and you don't need more than that, aiming to maintain maximum length and volume.
Tied-up hairstyles, like a bun, look great on bra-length hair, but it's just a suggestion. Bangs should not be cut short, unless the Bride wants to wear them loose. Other than that, the end of the fringe is secured with a clip to provide fixation and durability. Therefore, the ideal height for bangs to be worked into the hairstyle is at or below the shoulder line, and never shorter than that.
Treatments and Straightening
Therefore, any hydration, nutrition and reconstruction of the hair is welcome and recommended, but do not do any of them during the week of the wedding to avoid weighing down the hair. Any straightening or progressive brushing should be done up to 30 days before the wedding. With the exception of brides who are going on their honeymoon and need straightening, or those who have very fast root growth and completely tied up hairstyles. In these cases, a shorter limit of days may be established, so the bride should talk to the hairdresser beforehand to decide together on the ideal time frame.
Dye your hair
As for hair dyeing, highlights can be done 30 to 20 days before the wedding to give time to treat the strands and mitigate the effects of the chemical dye/toning to cover gray strands. Deadline: the week of the ceremony, a maximum of 3 days before and the hair must be washed at least twice.
Hair removal
When you shave eyebrow, do it 5 days before the event. Don't wax! Use only on line or tweezers. The hair removal of the fluff, only do it if you are already used to it. Use tweezers or thread, never use wax. The effect of smooth skin without hair on the upper lip is very beautiful, as the makeup ends up enhancing the hair in the area, even if it is fine. So, if possible, I recommend removing the fluff 5 days beforehand.
Here's the tip!
– Sleep early the night before.
– Separate everything you are going to take and leave it together in a part of the house, so that no item is forgotten. Make a checklist!
– Bring a large suitcase, it will make it easier to gather everything at the end of the party.
– Do your nails the day before.
– Don’t leave it to write your vows on the day, inspiration may not come so easily.
– Prepare a playlist on Spotify with songs you love.
– Be careful with the robe you are going to wear on the big day, check if it is ironed, if it is transparent and if you need special underwear. Always try it first and take a look in the mirror from the back, this pose will appear a lot in the making of, it's important to look impeccable.
– Take a jacket for your wedding day, the ideal air conditioning temperature to keep your makeup, hairstyle, bouquet and other items is colder than normal, a warm blouse that opens at the front and is easy to take off can be very useful .
– Stick to the wedding day schedule, don’t be late, as a result, you will have many incredible photos taken with great peace of mind.
– Remember that a Bride is not a fantasy, but the most WONDERFUL version of yourself. Respect your own style and think about your photo that has been immortalized in the living room frame for 30 years when making your decisions. Choose what is timeless so you don't make mistakes.
– There are no rules, everything is allowed. As long as it makes sense to you. Be careful with too many opinions. Listen to your heart!
